Author Biography
William Newman teaches multilingual learners of English at John Lewis Elementary School in Washington, DC, USA. William has been incorporating AI and computer programing into his teaching ever since he first began studying natural language processing as an undergraduate. He was awarded TESOL’s 2023 Ron Chang Lee Award for Excellence in Classroom Technology for a series of lessons for high school students integrating data analysis and the Python programming language with WIDA English Language Development and Math Standards.
